Nestled in the mountains near Frigiliana, the single-level Villa Thomas commands wonderful views and is ideal for those wanting to explore inland yet still have easy access to beaches. Its main attraction is its pool terrace, which sits at the front of the villa and offers a grandstand seat for appreciating the setting. You can sunbathe here and soak up the panoramas over the mountains and countryside sweeping down to the coast. The pool area is partially surrounded by balustrades and has a couple of steps up to a lovely tiled terrace that provides an equally scenic vantage point. The owners have furnished it with a patio table and parasol so you can sit in the shade here over al-fresco meals. Steps from the terrace take you into the spacious open-plan living and dining room, which like the rest of the accommodation, is light and airy and furnished to a high standard. A brick-built fireplace framed by an L-shaped corner sofa makes a cosy centrepiece to the room, which is also equipped with satellite TV. A hallway from here leads to the neat kitchen and the three double bedrooms, all crisply accessorised in pale wood furnishings. In terms of location, you are five minutes drive from Frigiliana, one of the prettiest whitewashed villages in the region. Bars and cafes are closer by and the charming town of Nerja, with its picturesque beaches is ten kilometres away.
