The 2* Metropolitan hotel is a small and friendly family run property located in the centre of Reykjavik and enjoys a well-earned reputation for Icelandic hospitality. The hotel's 31 rooms offer showers, tv, telephone and mini-bar, free wireless internet access as well as private facilities. With its perfect central location guests can take advantage of walking to the nearby harbour to go on a whale-watching excursion during summer or sample some succulent fresh fish in one of the many restaurants located nearby! Unlike some of the other hotels located further out guests are able to reach most of the fashionable restaurants, trendy bars, boutique shops and nightclubs on foot without having to spend money on an expensive taxi. Hotel staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and are more than happy to be of assistance with excursion tips, restaurant recommendations, car hire and nightlife advice. Guests can be assured that they'll feel at home in the cosy Metropolitan hotel. Guests requesting a triple room should note that this consists of 3 separate beds. a simple buffet breakfast is served in the lobby. Please note that limited early breakfast is available on request for guests departing the hotel to catch a flight before 7 am whereas after 7am a standard continental breakfast is available in the hotel restaurant.
