Hotel Overview

This hotel is located in the centre of Egilsstadir, the largest town in East Iceland. From Egilsstadir it is only a short distance to the places of interest in the Eastern Region, such as the fjords, Borgarfjordur in the east, or Snaefell volcano.||This hotel, built in 1998, was expanded in 2004 when a new wing offering a further 24 standard rooms was built, bringing the total to 60 rooms over 3 floors. On the ground floor of the new wing is a conference/meeting room with a seating capacity of 120. With this new facility, as well as the existing meeting room on the 1st floor, this hotel is ideal for conferences and meetings outside Reykjavik. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, lift access and Internet access (fees apply). Guests can also relax in the hotel's bar, café or TV lounge. The hotel's bar has a balcony and the restaurant offers a tasty menu. Guests arriving by car can use the nearby car park (fees apply).||Standard rooms (25 m²) have twin or double beds with satellite TV, a telephone, walk-in shower and hairdryer. The rooms have parquet flooring and an extra mattress for a 3rd person is available for children younger than 12.||There is a heated outdoor swimming pool with a children's pool within the hotel's grounds.||The restaurant's tasty menu includes starters, fresh fish dishes, Icelandic lamb, East-Icelandic Reindeer steak, the pride of the house, and delicious desserts.
