The Hotel Vasco da Gama is a friendly and comfortable hotel in the heart of the resort , right on the wide sandy beach of Monte Gordo. There is a selection of shops, bars and restaurants only 100 metres away, with the promenade and resort directly accessible from the hotel. This resort retains more Portuguese charm than other resorts, and the nearby pine forest is ideal for long walks or cycle rides.

##Location
The Hotel Vasco Da Gama sits on the beachfront, overlooking the white sandy beach where you can spread out for the day in the sun or try some water sport activities including water skiing, wind surfing or snorkeling to explore the fascinating seabed. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel should you want to head into Vila Real where you can take a ferry across the river to Spain. Family holidays to Algarve will love the glass-bottomed boat trips, the Aqualand water park, the Zoomarine animal park and various excursions that you can book in the resort including jeep safaris.

Why not hire a bicycle and follow the coast or head to the local Nature Reserve on your Algarve holidays. You could take a boat trip down the Guadiana River or try a spot of golf at one of the local courses including the Quinta da Cima, Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Castro Marim. For a historic experience on your holidays to Monte Gordo, why not visit the historic churches in the resort and the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Encarnacao in Vila Real de Santo António.
