Hotel Overview
A four star hotel in Salzburg's historic heart. The Hotel Kasererbrau occupies a building that dates from 1342. Room furnishings combine traditional and modern, and are exceptionally stylish, with antiques and lots of design features. The hotel has its own spa, with a Roman steam grotto, sauna, adventure shower and massages. It sits on the site of a former Roman temple in one of the most ancient parts of Salzburg, full of colour and character in its narrow lanes. Close by is the iconic Hohensalzburg Fortress, a fairytale castle that dominates the city's skyline. Composer Mozart was born in the city, and the house in which he was born is now a museum. The city's also famous as the setting for the film The Sound of Music.
##Eating and Drinking
The hotel has its own bar, cafe and restaurant. The Italian style Bar Balthazar offers a full range of drinks in Mediterranean surroundings. The Trattoria Domani is an Italian restaurant and Pizzeria, and the Café Sezession serves drinks and snacks. Next-door to the hotel is an Indian restaurant, the Siddartha. The old town area around the hotel is a great place to find restaurants serving classic Austrian dishes as well as international cuisine.
