Located at Fort Canning Park, this park setting straddles not only the Orchard Road shopping belt and the Clarke Quay entertainment hub, but the Central Business District, and the Civic District. For recreation on a larger scale, 3 nine-hole golf courses are located at Sedenak, Johor and Malaysia, which are all within one and a half hour's drive of the hotel. The hotel building, formerly the British Far East Command Headquarters during World War II, is the result of extensive restoration of the British military structure which was built in 1926. It is a colonial-style hotel, featuring 86 individually-styled boutique suites and rooms, and is surrounded by the greenery of Fort Canning Park. Facilities at the air-conditioned hotel include a lobby with 24-hour, Internet access and guests may enjoy a drink in the bar. Those arriving by car can take advantage of the hotel's car park.
