The hotel is a modern marvel of Oriental architecture inspired by the traditional Kuwaiti houses of times gone by. It showcases the beautiful art and craft of this style, which is now so rarely seen. Noteworthy features of this fascinating old Saharan construction include the abundance of woodwork arches and the use of coloured glass. There are 90 rooms in total as well as a 24-hour reception, a café, restaurant and a laundry service.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Salmiya trade centre and enjoys a prime position on the prestigious Arabian Gulf road. It is only 25 km away from the airport and about 6 minutes from the city's most renowned science centre.
