The superbly located, superior 3* ambassador Hotel was completely renovated in 2010 and offers tastefully designed, contemporary accommodation in truly historical surroundings. Lying in the heart of Sultanahmet, major attractions such as the Blue Mosque, aya Sofia and Basilica Cistern are no more than 2 minutes away, whereas the Grand and Spice Bazaars are no more than a 10-minute walk. Having been built over 150 years ago, the ambassador has managed to maintain its historical flavour by completely restoring the lovely wooden facade to its original splendour. With only 22 rooms, guests at the hotel are ensured a personal and warm service. all rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, telephone, minibar, television and hairdryer. a varied buffet breakfast is served in the rooftop terrace restaurant (fabulous views!) and additional public facilities allow guests to experience a real Turkish bath and massage at the hands of a qualified local masseur (chargeable). altogether, a great combination of Turkish history, hospitality and charm.
