Edinburgh airport is situated 8 miles to the west of Edinburgh city centre just of the A8 main road between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverly where trains depart for all over the country. Taxis depart from the taxi rank outside of the airport terminal building. Bus services operate from outside the terminal building into Edinburgh city centre and the train stations.

Car parking at Edinburgh airport is secure and you can park on the airport for short stays or near the terminal for long stays with free transfers to and from the car parks. The present terminal building, designed byRobert Matthew was constructed in 1977 and has been upgraded in recent years, with new car parking facilities and an extended arrivals hall.
