Soldeu is a ski resort in Andorra lying at an altitude of seventeen hundred metres. It is part of the Grandvalira ski area which offers almost two hundred kilometres of slopes and, together with its neighbour El Tarter, is one of the most popular resorts in Andorra. Soldeu is a modern, friendly and fairly lively resort with excellent skiing and snowboarding facilities. The slopes are ideal for novices and intermediate skiers but there are a limited number of demanding runs for advanced skiers. The facilities in Soldeu for snowboarding make it a popular choice. Over sixty lifts provide easy access to the slopes. The ski schools offer tuition for novices and intermediate skiers as well as children from the age of six. A crèche provides childcare facilities for children from three years. Soldeu hotels and apartments offer a wide range of accommodation to suit most budgets. This leaves over half of the pistes for intermediate skiers. Advanced skiers can enjoy off-piste skiing as well as several black runs. Soldeu is also a good centre for snowboarders with a well-equipped snow park with a half pipe.
