Portinatx - The Place

A Portinatx holiday offers relaxation with guaranteed sunshine, fine sand in beautiful bays and warm shallow waters. It is a well designed modern resort with low rise white washed hotels and apartments nestling amongst mature pine tree. Much of the accommodation consists of self catering apartments reflecting the popularity of the resort with families. Portinatx Bay is horse shoe shaped giving shelter to the beaches. S’Arenal Gros, S’Arenal Petit and Playa Porto beaches, all with fine white sand, slope gently into warm shallow waters. Portinatx boasts both a wind surfing and a diving school. There are also pedalos for hire. The clarity and calmness of the water offer perfect conditions for those who enjoy snorkelling. Glass bottomed boats offer excursions around the bay and along the picturesque coastline. Entertainment in Portinatx includes Spanish dancing, quiz nights and casino evenings. Children can enjoy water slides, a bowling alley and beach volley ball. Travel through olive groves and almond orchards to the nearby village of San Juan where the holiday maker is invited to take a step back in time. Amble through the narrow cobbled streets with balconies overflowing with brilliantly coloured potted plants, past the pretty whitewashed 18th century church and enjoy refreshments in the pavement cafes.
