The perfect location in the middle of the village and right next to the nursery slopes lies the Hotel Roma. We highly recommend this great value hotel and even though facilities are basic you can be sure of a welcoming and comfortable stay.
One of the original buildings on resort, Hotel Roma is a pleasant reminder of the early days of skiing, however the interior has been modernised and the bar has doubled from its original size. An ideal choice for group stays as rooms can accommodate higher numbers.
Charming and traditional is how we would describe Claviere and while the resort itself has a quieter atmosphere the local skiing here is great and boasts a fantastic snow record. Only 10 minutes away from the French Montgenévre resort you can access the incredible Milky Way circuit with over 350km of skiable terrain plus four snowparks for snowboarders.
The resort has a pleasant nursery area and an enormous blue run which starts above the trees and goes all the way back to the village. The run is quite long and demanding but enthusiastic beginners will love the sense of achievement when they accomplish this.
Claviere has some great choices for intermediate skiers including adventurous semi off-piste down little paths that wind through the trees.
Advanced skiers have some good reds, inspiring off-piste and of course, the massive Milky Way circuit to explore.
There are several restaurants and bars which run along the main street, so even though this is a smaller resort there’s still plenty to keep you entertained once the sun goes down.
