Resort Description

Spend your days mastering the slopes and your nights experiencing French culture in this traditional village that was France’s first ski resort. With possibly the best non-glacier ski conditions in the French Alps, Mongenévre is excellent for families as everything is within walking distance and there’s plenty to do if you’re not too tired from exploring the incredible mountain.

Ski/Snowboard Information

Beginners...

Ski holidays in Montgenèvre give beginners a great choice. They can ski all the way home on an easy blue path to gain that invaluable sense of achievement. The ski school is friendly and the instructors speak good English.

Intermediates...

A great choice of sweeping blue runs, reds with gentle moguls, some pretty tree runs and the fantastic Colletto Verde into Italy.

Advanced...

Much of the Montgenèvre terrain is unofficially pisted by skiers enjoying the gullies and trees between the piste, almost doubling the official mileage. We also recommend the cheap day extension to the Milky Way or Serre Chevalier to add a bit more variety for the keen expert skiers.

Apres Ski

Montgenévre isn’t what we class as a party town so if you don’t like the noise and atmosphere of a busy nightlife then this is the resort for you. That being said, there’s a great range of restaurants and bars for those looking to relax after a busy day tackling the ski terrain plus some entertaining evening activities to keep the kids busy.
