This hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the city centre and is perfectly situated at the gateway to the Peak District National Park, and within sight of the world famous 'Crooked Spire' church. It is ideally located for exploring the delightful Derbyshire towns of Matlock Bath, Buxton and Bakewell, not forgetting some of the greatest historical houses and stately homes such as the magnificent Chatsworth House (30 minutes by car). Newcastle is only a 10-minute drive away.

## Rooms
The bedrooms on offer include a number of four poster rooms and three rooms adapted for wheelchair users. All accommodation comes with a hospitality tray with tea and coffee making facilities, a colour TV, a direct dial telephone and a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and complimentary toiletries. They are equipped with a hairdryer, a radio, Internet access, an ironing set, a double bed and heating.

## Sport
The hotel features a fully equipped 'Techno gym', a 17-metre indoor heated swimming pool, a mixed steam room capsule and a sauna cabin as well as a poolside spa pool. The team of dedicated instructors are available to assist those planning a serious work-out in the gym or to advise on a more gentle fitness regime as well as give limited dietary advice. Due to the age of the building and the gym location, wheelchair access is not possible to this area of the hotel. Guests can also enjoy the tanning studio (fees may apply) and there is a sun terrace.
