Hotel Overview

Set amongst attractively landscaped gardens, the Riverina Hotel overlooks the beach and the beautiful blue Indian Ocean. The hotel is just two miles from the village of Beruwela, one of Sri Lanka's main west coast resorts and it is only a five minute drive to the nearby Confifi Marina where you can enjoy a selection of water sports including windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing, jet skis, motor boats and deep sea fishing. Guests are provided with transportation to the water sport centre, in the marina, from the hotel, and back again when required. There are also several turtle hatcheries to visit nearby and if you are lucky, you may even see some hatching ready to be introduced back to the wild.

Situated 40 miles south of Sri Lanka's capital Columbo, the Hotel Riverina has 192 spacious, guestrooms and suites, all of which are air conditioned and have their own balcony or terrace, satellite television, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and safe. The hotel's recreations facilities include a large fresh water swimming pool for the entire family to enjoy with a special children's pool to keep younger guests occupied. Sporty guests can enjoy an energetic game of tennis, a round of mini golf (tennis and golf shared with the sister property, the Club Palm Garden Hotel) or a work-out in the gym and fitness centre (situated between the Riverina Hotel and Club Palm Garden).

Guests are also welcome to enjoy table tennis, billiards and snooker, horse riding, basketball, badminton and volleyball as well as a range of organized pool games and aerobics. Those in search of a little rest and relaxation should visit the superb Ayurveda Villa Spa at the nearby Eden Resort and Spa. There guests are treated to a full range of natural spa treatments and therapies designed to restore balance to mind, body and soul. Back onsite you can wine and dine in one of the Riverina Hotel's three restaurants including the fabulous Water Front Restaurant, an elegant yet casual beach-side venue offering a menu of tempting seafood specialties.

Complimentary use of the kids club (situated between the Riverina Hotel and Club Palm Garden) is available for children between the ages of 3 and 12 staying in the hotel. This fully supervised club opens seven days a week from 9.30am to 5.30pm and is equipped with a selection of board games, stuffed toys, arts and crafts and a video with a library of animated movies and cartoons. The kid's club entertainers organise daily activities including kite making, painting, kid's bingo, puzzles, treasure hunts, pool games, face painting, animation shows and sand castle making competitions.

##Eating and Drinking
A choice of international cuisine is available from the Riverina Hotel's three restaurants as well as drinks and snacks from the lobby and pool bar. The main restaurant serves international cuisine in buffet and set menu styles with very creatively prepared theme evenings on selected days of the week. At the Coffee Shop guests can choose from a la carte specialties from across the globe and last but not least there is the Water Front Restaurant, a beach-front venue serving excellent seafood dishes. Night owls can dance and drink until 2am in the hotel disco and if you feel a little peckish then there is always the 24-hour room service menu for snacks and drinks in the comfort of your own room.
