Built in 1890 and renovated in 2002, this hotel comprises a total of 10 rooms spread over 3 floors and a 30 m² garden. Originally an elegant Victorian mansion house in the grand Scottish tradition, the hotel's original features and traditional décor merge seamlessly with modern conveniences to provide a warm, comfortable feel reflecting the culture and heritage of Edinburgh. The hotel offers a true Scottish colour and character, a bar with a traditional pub feel, as well as extensive meeting and banqueting possibilities.

This welcoming hotel affords beautiful rural surroundings and is only a few minutes' walk from the centre and train station of Waverley. Edinburgh Castle, Dynamic Earth, Holyrood Palace, the royal yacht Britannia and the Museum of Scotland are all within a comfortable walking distance from the hotel. The immediate vicinity offers a variety of shopping facilities, bars, restaurants and links to the public transport network. The transfer time to the airport is approximately 20 minutes.

The cosy rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors and accessible via a majestic central staircase. All have an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a double bed, carpeting, a TV, central heating and a tea/coffee maker.
