The Amsterdam Hotel is in the heart of the historical city of Amsterdam only 50 metres from Dam Square. This extremely well known hotel has 71 air conditioned and soundproofed guestrooms and a very popular restaurant. All parts of the city are easily accessible either on foot or using public transport – the hotel is 700 metres from Central Station and numerous tram stops can be found in the immediate vicinity.

##Eating and Drinking
The a-la-carte restaurant De Roode-Leeuw is legendary for its Dutch regional specialities and has the oldest covered terrace in Amsterdam. It underwent a refurbishment in 2006 and with its dark paneling, Art deco features and wooden carvings it can be considered as a city landmark. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink and a snack including salads, sandwiches and a choice of warm plates as well as more elaborate dishes. From noon until 10pm an a la carte option is available featuring both Dutch regional specialties and more international dishes.
