a 5 star lakeside hotel, the grand Hotel Tremezzo is a charming Liberty style Palace dating back to 1910 when enea gandola, the original founder, decided to build a hotel for the increasing international tourism demand coming from the wealthy european jet set. Overlooking the lake and the town of Bellagio, nestling on the other side of the lake, the hotel has an enviable position and is surrounded by wonderfully landscaped gardens with a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and fitness centre. Rooms have either lake or garden views, are full of light, decorated with antiques, paintings and watercolours, air conditioned and equipped with mini bar, safe, satellite TV and bathrooms decorated with precious marbles.
