Hotel Overview
The hotel is located at the Berliner Tor, a busy junction point between suburban Hamburg and the city centre, with public transport connections within walking distance. The restaurant, which adjoins the lobby, also has a semicircular shape and the walls at the entrance are painted in a Miro/Kandinsky style. The furnishings are modern and there is a piano for live entertainment. The restaurant opens out onto a wooden tiled terrace which is used in the summer months. The architecture of this building is a very interesting combination of art deco style and modernism. The large lobby has a circular shape with a marble tiled floor, partly covered with carpet. The ceiling is supported by pillars and is partly mirrored. There is a unique waterfall in the lobby and a large spiral staircase.A very cheerful hotel due to its incredible friendly staff and also a good location for reaching the centre and the Reeperbahn, the amusement district as the S-Bahn goes directly from the Berliner Tor station direction Altona.
