Local tips: There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from in the village of Calheta, as well as the marina, there is also a supermarket opposite the hotel. The city centre of Funchal is a 30 minute drive from the resort. FACILITIES:The hotel has two restaurants to choose from – Calheta Restaurant serving a dinner buffet with weekly theme nights and Onda Azul Restaurant serving fish and seafood. Por do Sol bar and Rabacal Bar serve cocktails; the latter has live music. There's also a beach bar for light meals or drinks.
Free private parking is available at the Calheta Beach Hotel - the hotel's minibus runs to Funchal four times a week. On-site laundry and games room, plus Onda Vital Health Centre with its Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, sauna, indoor heated pool, gym, massage and beauty parlour. The conference room has a capacity of 75 people and can also be hired for private functions.
