## Location
Perched on a hilltop 508 m above sea level, the hotel is situated on Umbria's border with Tuscany, overlooking Lake Trasimeno and the enchanting Valdichiana. The hotel is around 1 km from the town centre of Città della Pieve. The medieval period has left its lasting imprint on this picturesque town. Adorning several of the town's ancient churches are frescoes by the native-born Renaissance artist and teacher of Raphael, Pietro Vannucci (Il Perugino). The hotel is ideally situated for touring as it is close to both the train hub of Chiusi-Chianciano Terme (around 5 km away) and the Autostrada del Sole (A1 motorway). Siena, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Todi and Montepulciano are just some of the destinations which can be reached by car within 30 to 60 minutes. San Egidio Airport is approximately 50 km away, and Rome's Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport is around 170 km away.

## Rooms
The rooms are decorated according to local tradition, with wrought-iron beds and county-style furniture. Each one comes equipped with free WLAN Internet access, telephone, minibar, satellite pay TV, air conditioning, central heating and hairdryer. The en suite bathrooms include a shower.
