Likely British Fatalities In Phucket Air Crash
Posted on 17 September 2007
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office have not confirmed whether any British tourists were killed in the recent air crash in Phuket.
A spokesman, however, said that it was "likely" that Brits were among those killed in the crash in Thailand as the One-Two-Go aircraft came in to land in heavy rain.
The aircraft swerved off the runway as it landed, split in two and burst into flames. 88 of the 130 people on board were killed.
The aircraft's black boxes were been found in the wreckage and have been sent to the USA for analyzing, meanwhile rescue workers continue to search through the wreckage in search of remains.
