Bush Backs A More Welcoming USA
Posted on 08 August 2007
George Bush has backed legislation to make the USA more welcoming to visitors.
The legislation should see an extension to the Visa waiver programme and extra Customs and Border Control officers to alleviate delays at the busiest arrival airports.
Whilst this will be welcome news for tourists who have experienced the less than friendly welcome by US tourist officers on arrival in the United States, the bad news for travellers is that it may take a few years for the changes to take place.
