Hotel Overview

A beautiful Victorian-inspired building from 1865, this is one of Torquay's premier hotels. Known for its standards, food and facilities, it has 132 bedrooms, a restaurant, spacious bar and lounge areas and conference, meeting and function rooms with conference facilities. The hotel has free indoor parking (limited) and in the station car park grounds. There is also street parking available. Wireless Internet access is free of charge throughout the ground floor, public rooms and meeting rooms. Guests are welcomed in a lobby.

## Location
The hotel is located on the English Riviera, in the town of Torquay. It is opposite Torre Abbey Sands, a blue flag sandy beach, and just 3 km from Torquay town centre.

Standard rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with remote control TV with satellite channels, a direct dial telephone with PC modem, hospitality tray, a hairdryer and a room safe. All rooms are en suite with bath and overhead shower. Tea and coffee making facilities also come as standard.

The hotel features extensive leisure facilities. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace and a children's splash pool, plus an all-weather tennis court. Dinner in the Gainsborough restaurant is a leisurely feast with seasonally influenced table d'hote menus featuring locally sourced ingredients from the abundant Devon larder and fish from coastal waters - all mixed with flair, imagination and flavour uppermost in mind.
