Renovated in 2007/2008 the Thalassa Mahdia is a modern hotel with 233 guestrooms spread across four floors. All rooms are bright and welcoming and most have either views of the sea or the tropical gardens. The hotel has a buffet style restaurant and terrace with garden views that serves international cuisine and opens for breakfast (6am to 10am), lunch (12.30pm to 2pm) and dinner (6.30pm to 9.30pm). There is also an informal a la carte restaurant (7pm to 10pm) and, from June to September, a pool and beachside bbq restaurant with a la carte dining options for lunch (12.30pm to 3pm). Refreshments are available from the lobby bar (10am to midnight), the panoramic bar (10am to midnight), the disco bar (11pm to 2am) and the café (3pm to midnight) as well as the pool bar (10am to 6pm) from April to October.
The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool, a children's pool, a covered freshwater pool (open from November to March) and a indoor salt water therapy pool in the spa area.
