The Odyssee Thalasso and Spa Oriental Resort makes for a tranquil and relaxing haven in the Djerba area of Tunisia. Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sahara on the beachfront of the Sangho, the resort has an idyllic location and is just 10km away from Zarzis. The architecture of the hotel is influenced by the cave dwellings of the Matmata giving the building a pleasing asymmetrical and curved appearance. It is surrounded by the resort grounds occupying 15 acres of lush green oasis all helping to create a peaceful retreat away from the usual noise and crowds of the tourist areas. The hotel has over 300 modern and well-appointed guest rooms occupying the 3 floors of the property, which are complimented by the many varied and relaxing facilities and services the resort offers. Most noticeably is the resort's recently improved spa and wellness centre where you can treat yourself to some of its numerous therapies and treatments in its many private rooms and several sauna and Jacuzzi rooms. There are also a great range of activities and entertainment to help occupy your free time with sport activities like archery, beach volleyball, mini-golf and table tennis all available on site. For a small fee you can also use the 2 tennis courts with equipment provided or try your hand at some of the nautical sports on offer such as windsurfing or kayaking.

The resort has a full animation team as well providing varied activities during the day like pool, beach games and tournaments. During the evening there is traditional live entertainment with dances and shows. Children also have their own facilities with a separate pool area for them, a playground and a special animation team that arranges activities both educational and fun. For any guest looking to arrange meeting or events of any size while staying at the hotel you will find everything you need to accomplish that as the resort features a separate building equipped with many conference rooms of various sizes with rooms that can hold up to 600 people and all the equipment needed to support any event.

##Accomodation
The hotel features an impressive number of rooms with 316 comfortable and modern guest rooms that can accommodate up to 3 people with double or king size beds and room for an additional bed. There are also 26 suites ranging from junior one bedroom suites, senior two bedroom suites and Berber suites with separate dining room and living areas. All of the rooms and suites come with air conditioning and a balcony or terrace with views of the pool and gardens or sea. Each of the rooms and suites come well-equipped with all the amenities you would expect including a full bathroom, safe*, minibar*, TV with satellite channels and telephone.

##Eating and Drinking
The Odyssee Resort includes a great choice of restaurants on site with cuisine to suit many tastes so you could happily just dine at the resort during your stay.

The main restaurant is La Grotte with its troglodyte style and offers sumptuous buffets for breakfast (6:30am – 10:30am), lunch (12:30pm – 2:30pm) and dinner (7:30pm – 9:30pm) with themed buffets throughout the week.

The La Porta features a refined and intimate atmosphere where you can enjoy a range of local dishes served a-la-carte.

The Zephir is a casual restaurant located near the pool and is great place to enjoy the range of pizzas on offer for light and fast dishes served a-la-carte.

There is also the Poseidon a unique restaurant facing the sea and surrounded by palm trees, it offers a delicious range of grilled dishes and fresh sea food dishes.

Lastly there is the Bio Cabane, the place to go if you are looking for a treat as it serves pancakes and ice cream.

Also at the resort there are 4 different bars including themed bars and the pool bar that provide different and relaxed atmospheres to enjoy the refreshing range of cocktails, local beverages and traditional choices on offer.

##Swimming Pools
The selection of pool facilities on offer at the hotel includes a large outdoor free form pool surrounded by numerous loungers and parasols. There is also a special thermal pool of naturally warm water that is rich with Oglio elements, well known for its benefits and medicinal qualities.
