Its name is derived from trees which had all but the top few branches cut off, called lobsticks, used as trail markers and/or rendezvous points by the early voyageurs nearly two hundred years ago. Located close to all the conveniences of the town, the lobstick lodge has 139 spacious rooms with 2 queen beds that can accommodate triple and quad occupancy based on sharing existing beds, and feature mini fridges, irons and ironing board and a coffee maker, with complimentary tea and coffee. Hotel facilities include an indoor pool, three outdoor & two indoor hot tubs, sauna and steam room as well as laundry facilities and gift shop.The country inn restaurant has down-home rocky mountain cuisine in a friendly, family atmosphere. Decorated in a bright natural pine decor with historic photos of jasper, the country inn restaurant features generous home-style meals to please all palates and budgets. Relax and unwind in the mountain view lounge around the cozy fireplace, or the outdoor patio, all with wonderful mountain views.
