The hotel is housed in an old Norman castle dating back to 900 AD. It is the result of a careful and accurate restoration, which took into account the archaeological site on which it is located. There is a bus station within around 800 m of the hotel and the beach is about 50 minutes' drive away. The nearest airports are Palermo (around 96 km) and Catania (around 145 km away).
