Hotel Overview

Behind the impressive stone facade of Barony Castle, which dates back to 1564, lies a modern hotel offering all modern comforts. Guests may refresh their bodies and minds with some pure Scottish air and a walk in the gardens, before enjoying a drink in the bar and sampling a local dish in the restaurant. The castle offers 78 guest rooms in total and further facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, lift access, a children's playground, wireless Internet access and room service. A laundry service is provided for a fee and those guests arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the on-site car park.

## Location
Set in 10 idyllic hectares of gardens and mature woodland, the castle offers magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and is the perfect base, from which to explore the local area at one's leisure. The castle is located on the edge of the Scottish Borders, and just 35 minutes south of Edinburgh, with its numerous shops, bus and train stations and, of course, Edinburgh Castle. Melrose Abbey is approximately 32 km from the conference hotel, Kalize Gardens are 9.6 km away and Royal Yacht Britannia is around 40 km away.

## Rooms
The castle features en suite guest rooms with a shower and bathtub, free high-speed Internet access, a TV with Sky channels, a direct dial telephone and a tea and coffee tray. A radio, ironing set and central heating also feature in all rooms as standard.

## Sport
Guests may take a dip in the indoor swimming pool, work out in the mini gym, or relax in the hot tub or sauna. There is also a 5-a-side football pitch, croquet pitch and rope course in the grounds. Guests may also go fishing and biking (fees may apply).

Breakfast is served each morning and guests may select their lunch and dinner from set menus.
