Club Lyda Hotel is ideally located in a tranquil spot near the popular resort of Gouves, just a 10 minute walk from two sandy beaches on the Island paradise of Crete. There are various restaurants, mini markets, bars, taverns, gift shops around the complex as well as a quarter of an hour' walk away by the main Gouves Village Boulevard. The 140 comfortable guest rooms and small apartments are set in large open garden areas, with pools for adults and children, and dining facilities exuding a relaxed atmosphere. The picturesque old village of Gouves is close to the hotel and the bustling resorts of Hersonisos and Malia are nearby and can be accessed by a cheap and regular bus service right outside the hotel. Local Tips: The nearby bus stop offers a regular bus service to all the famous northern coastal resorts of Hersonissos, Stalis, Malia, Agios Nikolaos as well as the capital city of Heraklion with its Minoan Palace of Knossos and the archaeological Museum. FACILITIES:Food, drink and entertainment: All Inclusive accommodation. The Club Lyda Hotel has a pool side snack bar, a restaurant dining area with terrace,   and a TV room with large wide screen TV. Occasional entertainment programs are organized mainly during the summer months and dependent on the weather and participation for daily activities 6 days a week along with Karaoke , Participation in some live events may incur an extra local charge. There are various restaurants, bars, and taverns around the complex as well as a quarter of an hour's walk away by the main Gouves Village Boulevard. If you are looking for an active night life there is regular Bus service to the nearby bustling resorts of Hersonissos, Stalis and Malia. Please note that the swim-up pool and bar and animation programme are dependent on the hotel's occupation and may not be available at the start and end of season.
 
Sports, games and activities: Three large outdoor fresh water swimming pools, two separate fresh water children's pools, extensive sun terraces with sun beds and parasols free of charge, arcade games, Billiards (local charge) as well as a Sauna and Jacuzzi (both with local charge, reservation one day in advance). There are two sandy beaches a short ten minute walk (750 meter ) away from the hotel. The hotel operates a free shuttle bus to the beach. All beaches are ideal for families but the longer Gouves Sandy beach is more suitable for younger children. The sun beds and parasols on the sandy beach are available at an extra local charge. A variety of water sports are available at the larger beach and at an extra local price. Be sure to take the mini train to visit the fantastic Cretan Aquarium in the nearby village of Gournes available in the summer months.
 
For the Kid's:  Plenty of space for children to run, Mini club for children aged 4 to 12 years old during July and August. The mini club is supervised and operates during set times within the day. Baby cots & high chairs on request.
