Located in the Theatre District on the corner of 54th Street and Broadway, the Ameritania Hotel is very popular with the hip, theater-going crowd. The Jacob Javitz Convention Center can be reached in 10 minutes by taxi. The hotel offers 219 rooms. Each is designed with sleek, simple, modern lines and features cable TV with remote control and pay-per-view movies, individual air conditioning controls, marble bathroom, CD player, alarm/radio, two-line telephone with data port, wake up service, electronic room key and hair dryer. A complimentary Financial Times is offered to guests Monday through Friday. Those who do not have a laptop with wireless service may purchase a card at the front desk that will allow them access to the hotel's wireless service. The Twist Lounge, which is located in the lobby, offers a full service bar and lounge. The Twist features a fireplace and couches for relaxing or for social gatherings.
