It is always good to be assured that when you make a flight purchase that your money is protected especially in the current economic climate. UlookUbook, a trading name of UlookUbook Limited which is a member of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA J4901), has taken steps so you can be assured when booking with us.

As an independent travel agent, not a tour operator, UlookUbook aims to offer the best prices available from a wide range of flight, accommodation, transfer and ancillary suppliers. This allows all of our customers to have flexibility at a great price.

ATOL Protected Charter Flights

  • The protection for flights booked on UlookUbook is covered in two separate ways. Charter flights are covered by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) under their ATOL (Air Travel Organisers Licence) scheme.
  • In the case of an ATOL company becoming insolvent before you travel, a claim is raised through the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) via UlookUbook.com and the claim will be paid direct to the customer by the CAA.
  • If you are abroad whilst your ATOL protected flight provider becomes insolvent, the CAA will arrange alternative flights home at no extra cost.
  • • UlookUbook will be on hand to assist all customers in the unfortunate event of any ATOL protected flight provider becoming insolvent

Low Cost or Scheduled Flights

  • All other flights, including Low Cost airlines, are full protected through an insurance scheme (Airline Failure Insurance). In the instance of insolvency, UlookUbook will claim a refund from the designated insurance company and pass this on to you. Maximum claim is £1,500 per passenger.
  • If an operator/airline becomes insolvent whilst you are away and no replacement flight home is provided, any claim is limited to the lower of the original price paid for the flight and the actual price paid for the replacement flight back to the UK. Maximum claim is £1,500 per passenger.
  • UlookUbook will be on hand to assist all customers in the unfortunate event of any ATOL protected flights becoming insolvent

If you have booked a full package holiday with a single tour operator, this is ATOL protected by the CAA, so if a package tour operator becomes insolvent you will make a claim to the CAA via UlookUbook.com and the claim will be paid direct to you by the CAA.

Please note: It is important not to confuse a flight & hotel booking with a package holiday.
