When To Go To Cala Vinas

Cala Vinas holiday season lasts from the end of April until late October with temperatures ranging from the twenties to the mid thirties.

Cala Vinas - The Place

Cala Vinas sits around the attractive cove of the same name. The cove is a deep inlet with shallow water offering protection to the white sands. The beach slopes gently into the sea providing safe bathing for both children and weak swimmers. The clarity of the water makes it ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Cala Vinas is a small resort with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a perfect base to wind down and recharge batteries. The resort itself has a range of good accommodation, restaurants and shops. There are many leisure facilities both in and around Cala Vinas. The proximity of Magaluf and Palma, with their wide ranging leisure opportunities is a great attraction.

There are many other attractions in the area and these include two water parks providing great fun for both children and adults. One is called Western Park and this has a Wild West theme. The other has some very hair-raising flumes including the Tornado slide in which you gather speed as you spin to the bottom. When you reach the end it spits you out into the pool. Another attraction which should not be missed is the Fantasia Golf. Here you will find three eighteen hole crazy golf courses set in a landscape of pretty gardens, caves and water features offering fun for all the family. There is also a daily display of birds of prey in the gardens. Marineland has dolphin and sea lion shows daily.

A Cala Vinas holiday offers a relaxing break in attractive surroundings with a guarantee of summer sun, clear blue sea and good facilities.

Cala Vinas Nightlife

Cala Vinas nightlife is a fairly laid back affair with restaurants and bars providing the evening entertainment. Those looking for a livelier night out can take a short walk to Magaluf where they can party until dawn. For more sophisticated entertainment Palma, the capital is only a short ride away.

Cala Vinas Shopping

Cala Vinas has a small number of shops providing holiday essentials as well as the usual number of gift and souvenir shops. There is a greater variety of shops in Magaluf and there is also a market on Wednesdays in Andraxt. Serious shoppers can of course take a bus to Palma where they will find many upmarket boutiques and designer shops.

Cala Vinas Eating

Cala Vinas offers a range of restaurants serving international as well as traditional cuisine. Tapas are a good way to sample local food as a variety of dishes are served in small portions, ideal as a first course or to fill the sometimes lengthy gap between lunch and dinner.

An unusual experience can be had in Magaluf at the Pirates Dinner Adventure. Here diners are entertained by acrobats, dancers and magicians. There is an adult’s only show in the late evening.
